Why this feature exists
Caregivers work hard, and timely recognition helps boost morale, retention, and engagement. Recognition Points give admins and coordinators a quick way to acknowledge great work — whether it’s going above and beyond, completing training, or providing exceptional care.
Why it matters
With Recognition Points:
Admins can instantly reward great work without waiting for a formal review process.
Caregivers can feel appreciated in real time, building motivation and loyalty.
Agencies benefit from improved engagement and stronger team culture.
Accessing the Recognition page
When you have logged in to your account, click on Recognition:
Here, you will see a detailed overview that includes employee names, points given, date given, point category, who gave the points, and the message that was sent when points were given:
Awarding individual recognition points

To award Recognition points, click the "Give Recognition Points" button in the top right corner:
- On the next screen, select “Search employees” and type in the employee’s name you want to provide recognition to:
- Type in who the recognition is from under “Sender details”
- Click “Select Category” under Points details:
- Choose one of the categories that you have set up. The options listed here are just an example:
- Input the amount of points you would like to give, which translates to a dollar amount. For example, 100 points translates to $1, while 1,000 points translates to $10:
- Next, type a personalized message to the recipient. Once you’ve filled the message, click on the Send button:
- The recipient will receive a text message and email notification informing them of the recognition points awarded. This is what the email may look like:
- The recipient can then click “Claim My Points” and follow the steps to redeem their points, which we will go over in another guide.
Awarding bulk recognition points
If you find that you are awarding multiple caregivers for the same task, you can now award recognition points in bulk. Let’s walk you through it!
- Navigate to the Recognition page and click the “Give Recognition Points” button:
- Select the “Upload bulk recognition file” button:
- Download the bulk recognition template CSV file:
- This file will show you all of the required inputs for a successful CSV upload:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Phone Number
- Points
- Once you have filled out your CSV file and are ready to upload, click the “Select file” button:
- You will see your file in the previous blank field. (If this file is incorrect, you can click the “Change file” button):
- Scroll down to fill out the rest of the required fields: Sender details (who is providing the points), Category details (click the dialog box to show your agency’s options), an optional note about the file, and then click Review:
- You will be asked to confirm all of your selections. It will look something like this:
- Click the “Send for processing” button, and if successful, you will see this alert at the bottom of your screen:
Remember: Recognition points are a fantastic way to provide quick recognition and motivate your team!
