Referrals are four times as likely to be hired and tend to stay twice as long compared to candidates from job boards or general applications. To get the most out of your referral program, your agency needs an easy way to create and share job postings.
In this article, you’ll learn how to:
-
Create and publish a new job posting
-
Add screener questions to filter out unqualified candidates automatically
-
Set up admin alerts for new applicants
-
Customize the candidate experience with emails, SMS, and calendar links
By the end, your agency will be able to create polished job posts that attract quality candidates and make the hiring process smoother for everyone.
How it works:
-
Create a new job
-
Once logged in, click Jobs in the left-hand menu.
-
Click Create New Job in the top left corner.
-
- A pop-up will appear where you will fill out the Job Title, Branch, Location, Rate of pay, Hours Required, and Job Description
- Scroll down, and you will see more information to fill out: Select Screener Questions, Alert Preferences, and Customize.
- Once you start filling out the job details, you will see a dropdown under the "Branch" box. Please note: if you have multiple branches, you will only be able to select one. Select the relevant one:
- Next, add a job description. It can be simple and straightforward, as long as you clearly describe the position. In this example, we discuss the benefits offered at this agency:
Screener Questions
You can now auto-reject candidates based on screener questions to ensure that you are interviewing quality candidates.
What you need to know:
- All screener questions you create must be answered by candidates, ensuring only serious candidates complete the application process.
- Our platform automatically removes applicants who don’t meet this criteria, with no manual work required on your end.
- You will not receive emails or notifications about candidates who don’t meet your requirements.
- Our platform will email candidates who don't meet screening criteria, letting them know that you won’t be moving forward with their application. This ensures a transparent hiring process.
- This feature is available for existing job posts; you are not required to recreate them to apply auto-disqualifying questions.
- Click the "+Add a question" button:
- Click into the dialogue box, and you will see a dropdown of pre-populated questions. Select one, or you can also type your own:
- Next, select if you want to auto-reject candidates based on this question:
- Next, choose who will receive alerts when new candidates have applied for this job. Click in to the dialogue box, and a drop down will appear of admins in your account. Select one:
Customize
- Next, you can customize the candidate's experience even further in three ways:
- Customize the email response the candidate will receive
- Add a custom SMS response to go alongside the email
- Add a calendar link, so the candidate can schedule a screening call with you directly.
While this section is optional, it can go a long way in making the candidate's process as smooth as possible. Let's go through these options one by one:
-
-
Customize the email response:
-
Here, you can customize the email that the candidate will receive once they have applied. Their name will be auto-populated. You can add something like the example below, where we thank the candidate and give them a time line on when they will hear back:
-
-
Customize the SMS response:
- This is similar to the email response option. The candidate will receive a text message letting them know that you have received their application. Use the same text you used in the email response to make it easy:

Add a calendar link:
-
If you want the candidate to book time with you directly, you can add a calendar link that will be sent with the response. You can choose to make this visible to all candidates or visible only to those who have uploaded a resume:

11. Finally, hit Publish to post the job:
Congratulations! You have successfully created a job. You will see the new job posting at the top of your Jobs section:
Remember, once a job is created, promoting it to your staff is a great way to ensure that the job is filled quickly! You can also incentivize the posting by offering recognition points, which we will cover in another article.
Happy hiring!
