Redeeming Gift Cards in the Rewards App
What this feature is
You can now redeem your gift cards directly inside your Rewards App. There is no need to visit another website or search your inbox for links.
Everything happens in one place, making it easier and faster to redeem your rewards.

How the new gift card experience works
You can browse, choose, and redeem gift cards right in the app. Here’s what you’ll see:
Browsing Gift Cards
You’ll see all available gift cards for your country (U.S. or Canada)
Cards are grouped by categories like Dining, Shopping, Travel, and more
If a card requires more points than you currently have, it will appear locked
Some gift cards include brand-specific terms — you can view these before redeeming
You can filter cards by category to quickly find what you want
Redeeming a Gift Card
1. Open your Points Balance
From the Home screen, tap your Points Total to view your available balance.
2. Select your Gift Card
Under Redeem Rewards, tap See All to view all gift card options.
Scroll to find the brand you want.
3. Choose your Gift Card amount
Once you’ve selected a gift card:
Enter the amount you’d like to redeem
Check the Terms and Services box
Tap Next
You can redeem part of your points if you prefer.
4. Finalize your redemption
Confirm your email address — this is where your gift card will be sent.
Tap Redeem to submit your request.
What happens after you redeem
Our team reviews all redemptions to keep your rewards safe.
If approved:
You’ll receive an email with your gift card and instructions from the brand.If we can’t approve it:
You’ll receive an email letting you know the redemption, ask that you email help@caribou.care for any questions.
This helps keep accounts secure and ensures gift cards are sent to the right person.
Gift cards available in the Caribou store
Here are some of the gift cards you may see (availability depends on your country).
You may see options like:
Top U.S. Options
Amazon, Walmart, Target, Uber, Lyft, Starbucks, Nike, DoorDash, Sephora, Home Depot, Best Buy, and more.
Top Canadian Options
Amazon.ca, Walmart Canada, TJX Canada, Esso, Starbucks Canada, Uber Eats Canada, IKEA, Cineplex, Indigo, and more.
Delivery timing
After you redeem:
You’ll see a message letting you know your gift card will arrive by email
Most gift cards are sent within 3 days, depending on brand processing times
If you don’t see your email, make sure to check your spam/junk folder
Troubleshooting
I didn’t get my gift card email yet
Gift cards can take up to 3 days. If it’s been longer, reach out to help@caribou.care.
I redeemed the wrong amount
Redemptions can’t be changed once they’re processed, so double-check the amount before confirming.
The email link isn’t working
Follow the instructions in the email carefully — some cards have special steps.
