Why we introduced Referral Structures
Agencies often have many open roles, but not every position carries the same weight. For example, a coordinator or nurse may be rewarded differently than an aide. Referral Structures give you the flexibility to set up multiple reward setups instead of being limited to just one.
This allows you to:
Recognize high-value roles in a way that makes sense.
Tailor rewards so they feel fair and consistent.
Keep caregivers motivated with clear, predictable incentives.
How Referral Structures Work
A few important things to know up front:
Locked after go-live: Once your agency goes live, referral structures can’t be changed. If you need different values later, you’ll create a new structure instead of editing the existing one.
Jobs follow the same rule: If a job is published with a referral structure, close it and create a new posting with the updated setup. This avoids confusion and keeps caregiver rewards consistent.
For jobs imported from an ATS:
Currently, only the Default referral structure can be used.
Imported jobs will stay unlocked for one week. This gives you time to adjust the structure if needed before it locks in permanently.
How to use Referral Structures
Set up the right referral structures during pre-launch, so they’re ready before caregivers start making referrals.
Assign the correct structure to each job before publishing.
For ATS jobs, make any updates during the one-week window.
Things to know
Referral structures are set in stone once you go live.
To update a job’s referral setup, close it and re-post with the new structure.
Consistency matters: caregivers trust the program more when rewards stay clear and reliable.
